Okay, so you’ve heard that I’m postponing my trip until August and that it will be similar to my original trip but here’s what you don’t know:
AIM is changing thing up a little. Instead of knowing exactly which countries we are going to ahead of time they will be sending us to a particular area where they have a hub or base set up. From these hubs we will go out into neighboring countries for our missions work depending on where there is the most need. For example: There is a base in Ecuador that my squad and I will be staying at and from there we could be sent to Chile, Columbia, Brazil, Peru, or Argentina. This way if there are any type of travel restrictions still in place in one country we can go the a different one.
The downside to this method is that I have to be prepared for any weather at any time. I could start in topical Columbia and then go to southern Chile and freeze in their late winter weather and I won’t have a clue until I’ve been assigned there. It means I’ll have to pack more strategically.
With all of this being said here are the hubs I will be going to and the possible countries associated with them:
1. Nicaragua
– Panama
– Costa Rica
– Honduras
– El Salvador
– Guatemala
– Belize
2. Ecuador
– Columbia
– Brazil
– Peru
– Chile
– Argentina
3. Thailand
– Myanmar (Burma)
– Laos
– Malaysia
4. Cambodia
– Philippines
– Indonesia
– Vietnam
