Alright folks, here’s what’s up. I am officially fundraising. I was waiting on a couple of things that were postponed due to the quarantine but everything is done and out of the way so it’s time to get started. I would have liked to have gotten started quite a while ago so I already feel a bit behind. My first deadline of $3,500 is due on July 10th. I’m quite certain we can pull it off. We are currently at $500 (even if it says less than that on my goal) so that leaves us with just $3,000 to go. My thought is that we start off with a fundraiser to knock that first deadline out of our way and then we can discuss other options.

Oh, also in case you missed my last blog post my training camp dates have moved up to the very beginning of October instead of the middle of October to accommodate the August route  crews that had their launch dates pushed back a bit. I’d also like to quickly mention that I have been on several zoom calls with a few of the people on my route and they are some fun people. There are even two others from Indiana! Several of the guys from my group are working on a podcast that they hope to post while we are out in the field so if you enjoy listening to stories more than reading them feel free to look up “more than a mission” on Spotify. Of course, I expect you to continue keeping up with my blog too.

Anyway, back to my fundraiser idea. I was thinking of doing an “Adopt-A-Box” challenge. If you don’t know what that is, let me explain. There will be a predetermined number of “boxes” for sale, in this case 121. Each box will be given a number 1-121 and that number is how much the box will cost. There will be a couple of prizes assigned to random numbers and I will do celebratory punishments when we hit certain milestones on the number of boxes sold. Those punishments will be decided upon by you all since you were the first people to subscribe to my blog. The most popular ideas in the comments below will be what I use for the punishments which will be filmed for your enjoyment. I will give a box update every few days on my Facebook page and once a week on this blog. The only way to buy a box is to send me a text or give me a call. Even if I do not answer the call or text make sure you state your name and the box you want to buy and I will award the boxes based upon time received. It will be first come first serve via the time stamp on the message especially for that coveted $1 box. After I tell you that the box is yours you will have 48 hours to send me proof that you have paid for the box either by sending a photo of the way you paid online or a picture of the envelope if you will be sending the amount by mail. If I don’t receive the proof of purchase after a follow up from myself then the box will go back up for sale. If the box you want has already been taken you can split the amount and buy multiple boxes at one time. I will put your initials on the box you bought once I receive proof of payment before that a simple X will mark that the box is taken.

This fundraiser will start at 12pm est on Sunday June 21st. The following photo is an example of the fundraising chart that I will re-blog on Sunday. Please be aware that comments on this blog for amounts will not count and neither will comments on the Facebook post.

  1. Some punishment ideas: Eat a whole jalapeno pepper, dump ice water over your head, eat ice cream with ketchup and mustard on it.
